June Houston Getaway

We started our summer with a trip to see our favorites-Maggie, Jimmy, and Lydia in Spring. We had fun relaxing at their house, learning about Tomball, grown-up fun at the Karbach Brewery and Menil Art Collection, plus a day trip to Galveston for Matt and me. We also got to hear Maggie's special icon info lecture at church, way to go! See you again soon Abbotts!
Where the Texas revolution ended, impressive right?

Adventures in Quarter 2

-Our first 3-festival day with the Miles family-McKinney Arts in Bloom for people watching and brats, Celina Crawfish Festival for an authentic lunch and crowds, then the Frisco Food Trucks for street tacos, whew!
-Houston visit for me for the Texas Library Association conference and hanging with Maggie and crew.
-Welcoming new baby Holden to our circle of friends-congrats Kirk+Megan!
-Plus the Frisco Arts Festival, Allen Arts Festival, Collin McKinney's Birthday Festival, and the Teacher of the Year banquet - April was the month of fun!

-Finished my volunteer year with the Plano Family Literacy School, loved it.
-Wrapped up my 2nd year at McClure with all the usual end-of-year excitement, including performing as the Blue Man Group.
-McKinney visit from Maggie and Lydia, plus our first time to check out the Heard Museum.
-Fun with friends, Blair's Cinco de Mayo Party, Andy's Korean BBQ birthday, swimming with the Seilings, and the like.

-Mini-vacation to Houston, living the dream.
-Started my 6th year in Junior League with a placement back on finance council, can't wait to get started.
-Updated our den with new tv, tv stand, rug, and chair. Ready just in time for summer laziness.
-Lots of TV time, professional development, gym time, pool time, cooking on the grill, and spending time with friends and family - yay for summer!
House Updates
-New art from local Kat LiBretto at the Allen Arts Festival for the house
-Lost a big branch over the pool, plus other tree-trimming and more yard work
-Big den update: new tv, BluRay/DVD player, tv stand (replacing the originals we bought in our first year of marriage), a leather chair and ottoman, and a big soft rug. I think we're officially "finished" buying house stuff and furniture for the foreseeable future.
